Technology! The way life is getting simpler with the use of technology is very good but some people are now abusing and misusing it. We all are taking advantage of it. I never imagined a day will come that i will just sit in my house, bring out my phone or computer, order for foodstuffs, foods and got them delivered to my house.
My mum came to my house and i told her about it, i thought she will be happy but she replied me saying, "you just wan spoil this world and making your wives them lazy, mtchew". My wife came back from work feeling tired, saying, "it is not easy to be in lagos, traffic jam and after all the hustle and bustle, i am now going to cook for you again, honey am tired". What was running in my mind is that, this babe just get luck say my mumsy no dey around. I was trying to boil water for tea when she came into kitchen, i thought she even wanted to cook but she came in saying, "i want Kpomo, smoked catfish, goatmeat, okro, ugwu, tomatoes, fresh pepper, zobo, plantain, agbalumo, ogbono (blended and unblended), vegetable oil, periwinkle, i will text you my address". All these was about a 6000naira but if i buy it in the market it is not more than 4 to 5 thoushand naira.
They brought it to our doorstep, she paid. I thought that was all, so i asked when will she start to cook, she told me am heartless and i cannot even pity her after the stress. I kept quiet, she picked up her phone and called an eatery to deliver some junks. I ate it all because i was hungry (it was not bad ) and had no choice. I remember how my mum always cook back then, setting firewood, going to market, washing, slicing and doing a lot of things, my mum can spend hours in the kitchen.
Now the question is that, is my wife lazy or she doing just because technology has made life simple?
Tell me your thoughts, my thought is that she is lazy.
