THINGS YOU CAN DO TO IMPROVE YOUR HEALTH

No one wants to be sick. An illness will make one feel inconvient, you will not just feel bad, but when you are sick, you will not be able to go to work to make money, you not be able to go to school or look after family. Well it has been said that 'Prevention is better than cure'. Some illnesses cannot be avioded but there is much you can do to prevent the onset of illness. This brings us to 5 things that you can do to get a better health.
PRACTICE A GOOD HYGIENE : One of the best ways to aviod getting sick and spreading of illness is washing of hands.
 The spread of deadly Ebola was minimized by the simple habit of washing hands. There are important times when hand washing will protect your own health, families and friends. You should wash your hands:
* After using the toilet
* Before preparing, serving, or eating food
* After sneezing, coughing, or blowing your nose.
USE A SAFE WATER SUPPLY : Cholera is contracted when someone drinks water or eats food that is contaminated with fecal matter. How can you protect yourself from this and different types of water contamination?
* Use quality water filters that is available and affordable.
* Store your water in a clean and protected water container.
* If you use water chemicals, make sure you follow provided instructions.
* Make sure your water is from a safe source.
WATCH WHAT YOU EAT : Some people can eat a lot food once they see the opportunity. They will not consider their intake of salt, fats, and sugar. Try to eat enough vegetables and fruits.
 Also, eat small portions of meat and try to eat fish a couple of times a week. Drink enough water instead of beverages.
 Limit your intake of sugar,butter and sausages.
 Lastly, make sure your food is well cooked and promptly refrigerated.
STAY PHYSICALLY ACTIVE : No matter your age,you need enough exercise to stay in a good shape. When you are physically active, you will sleep well, stay mobile and have strong bones but if you do not stay physically active, you are likely to suffer from heart disease and high cholesterol and maybe suffer a stroke.
 GET ENOUGH SLEEP : Sufficient sleep is important for the :
* Growth and development of childrenchildren
* Cardiovascular health
* Disease prevention. If you have problem getting enough sleep, do not watch TV while in bed and avoid meals, caffeine and alcohol before bedtime.
