Lord Tony has passed away, shall we inform his next of kin? A next of kin is suppose to be a close friend, spouse, partner, loved ones or one of someone's close one's. With the meaning of next of kin, who should be my net of kin?
This controversial trend has caused a lot of break up among couples. A neighbour of mine and her husband are in the court for a divorce because of this issue. The woman bought a house without her husband consent. She used her junior brother's name as her next of kin. Her husband later knew through their daughter and he got angry and called for a divorce because, she did not use his name or their daughter name as her next of kin.
My readers know i love doing a lot of research about my topics, so i went to the public to ask people about their opinion. I came across a fat lady, her name is Bridget. I asked her the question, she said, 'I cannot use my spouse, i will use my siblings, my spouse may betray me in future and claim that he is the rightful owner of everything although he may think i do not love him but they do not prove love through next of kin, I am the first born and i have to take care of my younger ones.'
I felt calm with her reply but i also wanted to hear the perspective of a man. I went to meet a man, named Wilson, he said,
'Most people will choose their siblings because of the absurd mentality that their partner may kill them and take all they worked for but if you have a free mind and you love and trust your partner, she or he should be your next of kin.'
Hmmmmmmm, hearing different people comment on this issue made me realize that choosing either your partner or siblings is a good idea but i will still pick my siblings. If i pass on today (God forbid), my family can never deprive my spouse of any benefits.
Hollywood are fond of deceiving us to believe in love. I can never let down my own BLOOD for my spouse. An adage says,' Blood is thicker than Water.'
